Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to questions we get asked very frequently. You might find the answer to your question here.

Are the Motocross tracks open during the week?
No. Open practice is available most weekends, subject to weather conditions.

What days are the Junior Motocross Try Out School available?
Saturdays only and the first Sunday in every month except January. To check availability or book a place, please ring Mark Parker on 07747 055253.

What are the age limits for the activities?
Junior quads and Rally Karts – 6-11 years
Karting – age 9 and over. Minimum height 1.3m
Clay target shooting – 14 years minimum age

Can I bring my own quad bike to WildTracks?
Yes. Mondays to Fridays they can be used on our trek routes or on the flat grass area behind our offices. Which you use depends or your capabilities. At weekends they can be used on the auto circuit only. Before setting out, always ring us on 01638 751918 to check availability.

Can I use my own 4x4?
Yes you can. If you are using your own 4x4 make sure you bring your mobile so you can call us if you get yourself bogged down!

Can I have a 4x4 lesson in my own vehicle?
Yes you can. For details – contact us.

Do you supply overalls?
We supply clothing for private parties and corporate events and overalls for all karting. If you are just doing, say, an hour's quad trekking, then you are expected to provide your own clothing. Stout shoes and waterproof clothes are recommended. Bring a change of clothes to use after the event as you may get very muddy or wet on a quad bike.

What activities are there for the very young?
There is a play area and a junior zip-wire for all youngsters.

Do I need a driving licence?
To drive the Hagglund or a 4x4 you need to be a licence holder. We can arrange tuition lessons for people who are near to getting their licence and have some driving experience but this needs to be agreed before booking.

Are there any hotels or B&Bs nearby?
Yes, there are several hotels in and around Newmarket and Cambridge. We can send you a list, or click onto our Links page.

Is the café open during the week?
Food and snacks are only available from WildSnacks on Saturdays and Sundays. Catering for private parties and corporate events can be arranged but only by prior booking. There are pubs nearby to visit after your event and a good transport café in Red Lodge for a hearty breakfast before you arrive.

Can we camp on site?
Yes you can by prior arrangement. The charge is £5 per night per unit. We have chemical toilet emptying points, drinking water and toilets but no showers.
